PT. Dunia Saftindo offers users and effective way of meeting OSHA/EN/MOM (Singapore) Code of Practice for Respiratory Protection Devices.
Under the NIOSH 42 CFR 84, there are three series of filters with three levels of filter efficiency. The filter series are referred to as N, R, P. The three different levels of the filter efficiency are 95%, 99% and 99.97% against the most difficult size particle to filter.
N – Series Filters: Non-oil applications
Generally these filter should be used and reused, subjected only to considerations of hygiene, damage and increased breathing resistance.
R – Series Filters: Oil resistant
These filters should be used only for a single shift (or for 8 hours of continuous or intermittent use).
P – Series Filters: Oil Proof
These filter should be used and reused, subjected to conditions of hygiene, damage and increased breathing resistance.
Oil: Any numerous mineral, vegetable and synthetic substances and animal and vegetable fats that is generally slippery, combustible, viscous, liquid or liquefiable at room temperatures, soluble in various organic solvents such
as ether but not in water.
Under the EN 143, there are three class filters protection against  particulates, dust and aerosols:
Class 1 (P1 or FPP1) – for protection against coarse, solid particulates (low toxicity).
Class 2 (P2 or FFP2) – for protection against solid and/ or liquid aerosols (low to average toxicity).
Class 3 (P3 or FFP3) – for protection against solid and/ or liquid aerosols (high toxicity).
